Allium platycaule - cultivated plants

Allium platycaule - in bud copyright 2000 Mark McDonough

These plants are grown in a very gritty soil mix over clay,
emerging in early spring and growing lustily with thick, waxy,
strongly falcate, gray foliage.  I apologize for the possibly
suggestive appearance of the plants in bud.  The photo
was taken in early May.
