Allium hybrid - to be named
(tentatively nicknamed 'Back to School')

This rhizomatous Allium hybrid selection is slated
to be properly named and propagated.  I have
nicknamed it 'Back to School' because it's in full
flower on Labor Day (the first week of September)
when children go back to school.  This photo was
taken on September 4, 2001.

The plant has perky, nearly globular flowers heads
of a pleasing light pink tone on 8" stems, appearing
rather late in the growing season as fall approaches.
The foliage forms low, mildly swirling rosettes of
of green strap-shaped leaves.
