I once received a selected good form of Allium nutans, having bold grayish
foliage.  However it pales in comparison to this stalwart selection. Unnamed thus far,
this superior selection has remarkably broad, thick, fleshy gray foliage that strongly
twists.  By early summer, the spiraling rosettes become impressively massive and
an intense leaden gray.  I'd grow this plant even if it never flowered.
